I will develop an individualized program for you to reach your fitness goals, while keeping the process enjoyable.   I believe that the best path to long term fitness is keeping the process engaging and goal driven. I have a passion for developing fitness with a strong educational background to boot.   I have a MS in exercise physiology, and training certifications by NSCA, FMS Level II, and Original Strength.   My boutique gym is located in Bow, NH where I have trained clients for the past 10 years. This can be done in person or Online Based Format.

Process

I start every client off with an individual assessment.  I analyze how your body works and what potential or existing injuries need to be addressed.  During your first session we will set goals then launch into your individualized program to reach those goals.

Ability to Create Space is what Separates Good from Great Athletes

Getting to that ball quicker, or getting a gap on your competitor is what scores or defends points. What develops this ability in an individual athlete varies from person to person.

For optimal development each individual will need different combinations and progressions of speed, strength, agility, and power training. I will work with the athlete to plan this development within the framework of their team or club demand and competitions. Training 2-3 times a week for strength, speed, power and agility will yield great results in the pre-season.

I have two options for training- individually or in a small group of 2-3 athletes.

Elite Level Athlete Development

I offer year round athlete development for skiers. My philosophy is to focus on long term performance development and a passion for the process. Elite skiers are not developed in 2-3 years. Programs that attempt this usually have fast short term results but poor long term results, and very high skier burn-out percentages.

Individualized and Team Based Nordic Training I have been coaching and racing nordic for over 20 years. I am an exercise physiologist, and apply an extensive background from this expertise to athlete development. People don't seek medical care from bankers, so why would you invest your training dollars in a coach without a formal education in sport science? For Nordic Skiing I offer individualized and team based training options. I believe in comprehensive athlete development, especially at the high school level great athletes are developed with a variety of well targeted training experiences and methods. Every athlete will have bottlenecks in their performance. I specialize in comprehensive athlete evaluation to determine these bottlenecks, then will work with the skier to develop a multidimensional periodized training plan to best meet their goals. Multi-dimensional refers to the integration of endurance, speed, power, strength, mobility, technical, nutritional, and psychological components into a synergistic plan so all of the training variables work together in a well planned system.
